Job summary

The Salvation Army service extension office in Marion, IL is seeking a seasonal Kettle Coordinator to manage the Christmas Bell Ringing/Kettle program. The role includes supervision of Bell Ringer staff, scheduling, site placement, delivery, and securing kettles, with close cooperation with Corps staff.

This is a full-time temporary position, 30 hours per week, starting at $15.00 per hour, with duties spanning recruitment, site checks, and coordination of volunteers and paid workers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, with one year work experience and some supervisory experience.
• Management skills and the ability to work with volunteer staff are needed.
• Must have an appropriate driver’s license and pass TSA MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, recruit, screen, and assist with hiring all paid Bell Ringer staff to include preparing hiring packets and conducting Bell Ringer Orientations.
• Coordinate delivery of kettle equipment to and from kettle sites.
• Schedule and notify kettle workers and volunteers of their assignments.
• Coordinate all paid workers and volunteers and ensure all locations are manned.
