Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides comprehensive youth and family support services across New Jersey. Seasonal Behavioral Technician positions are available in Mercer County to support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center.

Typical weekly hours range from 5 to 20, with 2–4 hour evening shifts. Responsibilities include emotional and behavioral support, safety, and implementing Individual Support Plans.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
• Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
• Must be working towards receiving RBT certification within 6 months of hire
• Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
• Must pass all state and federal background checks
• Pre-employment drug screen required
• Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged
• Must commit to a minimum of three months
• Pathways for NJ Guidelines require supervised experience depending on qualification level

Responsibilities

• Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the client
• Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan
• Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns
• Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with guidelines
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies
• Engage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness
• Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings
• Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines
