Job summary

Country Club of Detroit is seeking seasonal bartenders for our Poolside Grill and Clubhouse venues. Positions run from mid-April through late September, with potential extension to November for halfway house employees. Work ranges from casual to fine dining across multiple dining spaces on campus.

Bartenders follow guidance from Executive Bartenders, preparing beverages, serving members, and handling billing while ensuring age verification and proper service standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.
• Ability to enforce club policies regarding alcohol service and etiquette.
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing chits.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for members and guests.
• Interact with members, take orders, and deliver drinks.
• Set up and break down banquet bars for events.
• Polish and carry racks of glassware and bar utensils.
• Stock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area and stock room.
