Job summary

Country Club of Detroit is seeking seasonal bartenders for our Poolside Grill and Clubhouse venues. Positions run from mid-April through late September, with potential extension to November for halfway house employees. Work ranges from casual to fine dining across multiple dining spaces on campus.

Bartenders follow guidance from Executive Bartenders, preparing beverages, serving members, and handling billing while ensuring age verification and proper service standards.

Job description

Country Club of Detroit is looking for seasonal bartenders to assist in our multiple dining venues throughout our Club. Dining venues include our Poolside Grill (located on our Summer Village Campus) and internal Clubhouse (Men's Lockerroom Lounge, Grille Room, Main Dining) and range from casual to fine dining experiences. Our seasonal bartenders can start as early as April 15th and can work potentially through September 30th (or November 1st for halfway house employees), depending on the season with the ability to move to a part-time position.

A Day In The Life (Summary)

Bartenders at Country Club of Detroit work under guidance from the Executive Bartenders. Bartenders mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based on member requests. They must verify age and identification of members, prepare and serve beverages, clean glasses and bar utensils and handle correct billing information.

Essential Job Duties

• Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (i.e. mix traditional and creative cocktails, pour beer, wine, soda, etc.)
• Interacting with members, taking orders and serving drinks
• Setting up and breaking down banquet bars
• Polishing and carrying racks of glassware
• Stocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies (i.e. beer, wine, liquor, fruit, soda cans, etc.)
• Maintaining a clean and organized bar area and stock area

• Ability to enforce club policies regarding the consumption of alcohol and other rules & etiquette of the club

• Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
