Job summary

Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Seasonal Security Officer to maintain order and ensure patron safety during performances. You will patrol venues, respond to incidents, and enforce BAM policies.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, teamwork, strong communication, and basic computer skills; weekend and holiday work is expected. Salary is $20/hour; the position is non-exempt with Sick Time eligibility. Experience in performing arts or museum settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Security Guard License required.
• 1+ years’ experience in security in performing arts or museum or military environments preferred.
• Strong sense of teamwork.
• Excellent communication (oral, written), customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and administrative skills.

Working Conditions

Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Compensation

$20/hour - non-exempt, Eligible for Sick and Safe Time. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
