Job summary

The University of Virginia’s Department of Athletics invites applications for a Seasonal Certified Athletic Trainer to support the Sports Medicine program for the 2026-2027 academic year. This 10-month, hourly wage position is intended for candidates with completion of an undergraduate or entry-level Master's in Sports Medicine.

Responsibilities include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries for student-athletes, maintaining records, and assisting in administrative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree by July 2026.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification required.
• VA athletic training licensure eligible; valid driver’s license with good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily health care of student-athletes.
• Record and maintain medical treatment records.
• Coordinate referrals and information exchange with internal/external staff.
• Transport student-athletes to physician appointments.
• Support in Sports Medicine unit administration and camp coverage.
