Job summary

PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, seeks a Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional to join the Golf Operations team. You will work closely with senior staff to manage tee sheets, assist with shop operations, and engage members and resort guests with exceptional service.

You will have opportunities to participate in instruction through the PGA National Golf Academy and advance within the golf operation, tournaments and member programming.

Qualifications

• PGA Class A member or actively progressing toward membership preferred.
• Professionalism, integrity and sound judgment on and off the golf course.
• Visible, engaging and approachable professional who interacts with members, resort guests and associates.
• Service-first mindset with anticipation, recognition, personalization and follow-through.
• Strong organizational skills in a high-volume golf operation.
• Uncompromising commitment to service excellence, presentation, consistency and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Golf Genius and tee-sheet, POS and scheduling platforms.
• Understanding of tee-sheet management, daily play, tournaments, member programming, pace of play and golf shop operations.
• Desire to develop as a well-rounded Golf Professional through operations, instruction and increased responsibility.
• Confident player with ability to engage members and guests through golf.

Responsibilities

• Support the Resort Head Golf Professional and First Assistant Golf Professional in daily Golf Operations and deliver the expected guest experience.
• Maintain a highly visible, professional presence in the golf shop and operations, engaging members and guests.
• Take active role in tee sheet management, reservations, changes and member requests.
• Understand daily golf activity, events, course conditions and operational information to aid staff and guests.
• Execute golf shop tasks including POS transactions, phones, tee-time requests and merchandise.
• Collaborate with Retail and Golf Shop teams on merchandising and inventory.
• Own tournaments, member programs or golf association responsibilities, including planning and event execution.
• Deliver an exceptional golf experience through recognition, anticipation and follow-through.
• Participate in instruction/programming via PGA National Golf Academy.
• Identify operational challenges and propose improvements to Golf Operations leadership.
• Pursue increased responsibility through performance and professional growth.
• Cultivate relationships across Golf Operations, Retail, Tournament Operations, Instruction, Outside Operations and other departments.
