Job summary

City of Dover Arena Division is seeking an individual to perform various duties in the operation of the ice skating arena including supervising public ice skaters, cashiers, snack bar work, score clock operator, and program supervisors.

This is a seasonal, part-time position with hours varying and a pay rate of $14.11 per hour. The position is open until filled, offering opportunities to engage with the community and support arena operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of high school and customer service experience.
• Experience in fast food service or cashiering is acceptable.
• Ability to count money and make change, strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in facility cleaning.
• Enforces all Arena rules and regulations.
• Supervises public skating sessions.
• Assists in skate rentals, arena rentals and skate sharpening.
• Operates score clock.
• Maintains appropriate records for assigned activity.
• Prepares and serves food in snack bar.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, other departments and agencies, and the general public.
• Maintains familiarity with and executes safe work procedures associated with assigned work.
• Perform related work as required
