Job summary

Aspetuck Valley Country Club Inc. seeks a Pool Director to oversee daily operations of the club’s swimming pool, manage staff, services, maintenance and programs. This is a seasonal management role at Aspetuck Valley CC.

The successful candidate will lead lifeguards and instructors, develop policies, schedules, budgets and member-engagement initiatives, while ensuring safety and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service ability to work effectively with members, guests and staff.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding pool operations, health and safety standards, and risk management practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pool policies and procedures compliant with regulations.
• Manage lifeguards, instructors, and pool staff with training and evaluations.
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment and perform maintenance.
• Create and manage pool schedules (lap swim, lessons, classes).
• Promote membership and programs to engage members.
• Develop budgets for pool operations and expenses.
• Address member concerns professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments for events and initiatives.
• Stay current with aquatics best practices and implement new strategies.
