Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is hiring an Aircraft Deicer at the IDS PIT Airport location in Pittsburgh, PA. This part-time seasonal role involves removing ice from aircraft, applying glycol-based fluid, and supporting safe winter operations.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a valid US driver’s license, can pass airport badge/background checks, and communicate effectively in English. Training is provided on site, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid US Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of the airport badging and background check process required for this location.
• High school diploma or equivalent and intermediate computer skills preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently and verbally direct in English.
• Must complete IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during de/anti-icing operations and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Inspect aircraft for ice and frozen contamination after deicing.
• Participate in pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event; check equipment and servicing trucks.
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads and complete paperwork and logbooks.
