Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervises a small to moderate team; reviews work, advises on appointments and training.
• Directs operations; collaborates with FAA facilities and civil organizations; advises officials on impact and solutions.
• Plans work, sets priorities, assigns tasks, and provides coaching and guidance to subordinates.
• Interviews candidates for air traffic control positions and evaluates performance.
• Handles employee complaints; determines disciplinary actions and ensures fairness.
• Handles disciplinary cases; manages major adverse actions up to removal.
• Maintains facility records, equipment, supplies, and working conditions; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Participates in investigations; reports incidents or irregularities.
• Provides input on planning, resources, and workload; aims for efficient service.
• Evaluates services and traffic flows; maintains ongoing evaluation program.
• Allocates collateral duties and optimizes resource deployment.
• Ensures non-discrimination and compliance across aviation users.
• Develops procedures to meet local requirements and noise abatement measures.
• Maintains contacts with airlines, pilot associations, and community groups to assess service.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
