Job summary

Rva Inc seeks a Seasonal Air Traffic Control Specialist to manage safe, orderly flow of traffic in a VFR tower at St. George, UT. You will oversee departures, arrivals, and sequencing, using radar aids and radio communications to keep aircraft on schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating with controllers, monitoring frequencies, relaying weather and field conditions, and providing on-the-job training to teammates. Requires CTO and medical certificates, with DOT/FAA testing compliance.

Qualifications

• CTO certificate and current Class II Medical Certificate are required.
• Position subject to DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing.
• Must have held a Control Tower Operator Certificate with a facility rating or an FAA tower credential for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Determine sequencing and separation of arrivals and departures to ensure safe, orderly traffic flow.
• Coordinate with other controllers on movement of arrivals and departures as needed.
• Monitor communications frequencies and navigational aids; instruct pilots on frequency changes.
• Operate and monitor tower equipment and BRITE display to ensure proper alignment and display.
• Provide weather observations and relay field conditions and altimeter settings to pilots.
• Maintain continuous radio watch and preplan traffic sequencing to minimize delays.
• Orient pilots in distress and coordinate with airport management and emergency services as required.
• Provide on-the-job training to others as needed.
