Job summary

Encore Global in New York is seeking a seasonal Audio-Visual Technician to set up and operate basic AV systems for events in hotel/convention environments. You will ensure guest satisfaction through precise equipment handling and proactive service.

You will work under the supervision of the Events team, perform equipment setup, breakdown, and on-site troubleshooting, and support invoice processes and client relations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audiovisual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license where applicable and meet training/certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot basic audiovisual equipment for events, ensuring timely setup and breakdown.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships on site.
• Understand and follow company processes, complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
• Assist with invoicing, up-selling of services, and coordination with clients and vendors.
