Job summary

Town of Barnstable Recreation is seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as Volleyball Recreation Assistants for the Fall Youth Volleyball Program. This seasonal role involves leading and supervising volleyball activities, delivering age-appropriate instruction, and maintaining a safe, positive environment for participants in grades 2–5.

Assistants will implement practice plans, promote sportsmanship, and work with Recreation staff. Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and gameplay.
• Experience playing or coaching volleyball.
• Experience working with children in a group setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach youth volleyball participants in a fun, supportive setting.
• Implement practice plans and skill-building activities.
• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork and safety at all times.
• Ensure all equipment is used appropriately and safely.
• Communicate effectively with participants and Recreation staff.

Job Summary Barnstable Recreation is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to serve as Volleyball Recreation Assistants for our Fall Youth Volleyball Program This seasonal role is ideal for those who enjoy working with children and have a passion for volleyball Recreation Assistants are responsible for leading and supervising volleyball activities ensuring a safe and positive environment for participants in grades 2 5 Assistants will deliver age appropriate instruction and drills in accordance with the Recreation Divisions standards and policies
