Job summary

Whole Foods Market seeks a Seafood Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department. You will maintain fresh displays, ensure accurate signage, assist with sampling, and help keep the work area clean and safe while delivering friendly service to customers.

The role requires flexibility, ability to work a fast-paced environment, and adherence to health and safety standards and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing display; stock cases and shelves; rotate products.
• Maintain department signage and pricing.
• Keep back stock organized.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized environment.
• Assist with sampling; keep sample areas full and neat.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Skin, bone, and cook or smoke fish; box, label, and date cooked fish.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time; be groomed and ready; attend required trainings/meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service; use suggestive selling; answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; maintain equipment per standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing signs are accurate.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
