Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Seafood Team Member to assist with counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department. You will help provide courteous, friendly service and maintain fresh, appealing displays while following store SOPs.

You will be responsible for fish preparation tasks, portioning, labeling, inventory checks, and keeping back stock organized, while ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to and supporting programs across the department.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of customer service expectations and ability to sell proactively.
• Willingness to learn about products in the seafood department.
• Ability to follow procedures for cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh, appealing seafood displays by checking quality and stocking.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Cleans cases, signs, coolers, and floors to keep area sanitary.
• Skins, bones, and prepares fish as needed; labels cooked fish.
• Assists with inventory checks and keeps back stock organized.
• Provides courteous service and answers customer questions promptly.
