Job summary

ShopRite of Ramsey in Ramsey, NJ is seeking a Seafood Clerk to deliver great customer service while maintaining and operating the Seafood Department. You will prepare and pack fresh and frozen seafood to company standards and assist customers with product selection.

The role requires the ability to read, write and speak English, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs as needed, and work with various seafood products.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed seafood products including shellfish and spices.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with prompt, courteous service.
• Follow procedures for receiving, packing, pricing, and restocking seafood.
• Differentiate between seafood varieties and advise on use and pricing.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and sanitize surfaces/equipment.
• Stand at workstation for long shifts and work overtime as needed.
