Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Montgomery Township, NJ, is seeking a Seafood Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department.

You will help maintain fresh displays and accurate signage, assist customers, and ensure a safe, clean environment while following store SOPs and collaborating with a friendly, professional team.

Daily duties include fish preparation tasks and inventory support to help deliver high-quality products and service.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean, stocking, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; boxes up, labels, and dates cooked fish.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with health and safety regulations including Food Safety and regulatory duties required in the department.
