Job summary

Bear Flag Fish Company is opening a Costa Mesa location in the summer of 2026 and seeks a Seafood Specialist to ensure freshness, quality, and appealing presentation of seafood products. You will provide knowledgeable, friendly service, prepare and package items, and maintain strict cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with selections and tips, displaying fish and shellfish, monitoring freshness, and upholding safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in seafood handling, butchery, or culinary prep is required.
• A skilled knife handler with excellent knife technique.
• Strong knowledge of seafood varieties and preparation methods.
• Comfortable using knives and seafood processing equipment safely.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
