Job summary

Price Chopper in Southington, CT seeks a Seafood Clerk to provide fast, friendly service and to prepare and present seafood products within display cases. You will fulfill special orders while adhering to all sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean workstation, operating department equipment, learning ice display standards, and promoting sales through sampling and PA announcements. 18+ and basic literacy are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, efficient customer service at all times.
• Assist in preparation and presentation of seafood department products.
• Maintain a neat, clean workstation according to 5S standards.
• Perform sanitation duties within the Seafood department per regulations.
• Ensure accuracy of customer special orders (e.g., shrimp platters).
• Operate seafood department equipment including scales and utensils.
• Learn to set ice display to corporate standards.
• Perform suggestive selling, sampling and PA announcements.
• Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.
• Support management with other duties as assigned.
