Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. Seafood Department is seeking a Seafood Service Clerk to provide prompt, friendly customer service, wrap and weigh seafood, and maintain fresh displays. You will stock cases, rotate products, and assist customers with orders in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, food safety training, and at least six months of related experience. Visual and physical demands include lifting and standing for long periods.

• Ability to perform basic addition/subtraction, copy figures, count and record.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Learns customers' names and addresses them by name when possible.
• Answers the telephone promptly and assists customers with orders.
• Works with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Wraps, weighs, and labels product.
• Reviews freshness and stocks/re rotates products.
