Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Seafood Service Clerk to deliver prompt and friendly service in the Seafood Department. You will wrap, weigh, label, stock and rotate seafood items, ensuring freshness and proper display, while maintaining sanitation standards and assisting customers with orders.

You'll work with team members to support customer satisfaction in a fast-paced store environment, handling duties from shelving to order-taking and daily department tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate commitment to Hy-Vee mission and company values.
• Ability to follow detailed but simple written or verbal instructions.
• Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, count, and record figures.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, friendly customer service in the Seafood Dept.
• Smile and greet customers; learn and use names when possible.
• Wrap, weigh, and label products; stock cases and rotate stock.
• Maintain sanitation and keep work area clean and neat.
• Replenish coolers and prepare seafood items for display.
• Report out-of-stock products to management and assist as needed.
