Job summary

North Coast Sea-Foods Corp. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to test seafood products and materials across three production stages to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will produce written reports, verify inventory and product usability, and communicate quality concerns to QA leadership while supporting a safe, efficient production environment. Qualifications

• 1+ years of inspection and/or production experience.
• 1+ years microbiology method verification and routine testing knowledge.
• 1+ years in food manufacturing; seafood or meat processing is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Able to build relationships and drive teamwork for quality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact between production staff and Quality department for all Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory issues.
• Responsible for filling out assigned HACCP compliance documents.
• Conduct internal audits of plant and paperwork with QC supervisor.
• Test and record measurements of seafood product attributes.
• Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency to QA leadership.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Perform analytical and organoleptic product quality inspections of fresh and frozen seafoods to meet specifications.
