Job summary

PAFCO, a $700MM+ global seafood manufacturer, seeks a QA/QC specialist to monitor production and finished products for food safety and quality. The role requires documenting HACCP, GMP, SOPs, and sanitation standards while maintaining compliance in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials and lines, performing temperature checks, supporting internal audits, and ensuring accurate traceability and records.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control, food manufacturing, or seafood processing preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, and food-safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, production lines, and finished products for quality and specification compliance.
• Monitor and document HACCP, GMP, SOP, and sanitation requirements.
• Perform pre-operational inspections, ATP/environmental swabbing, and temperature checks.
• Identify quality or food-safety deviations and communicate issues to QA/QC and production teams.
• Complete QC records, corrective actions, calibration checks, and traceability documentation.
• Assist with internal audits, inspections, mock recalls, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment.
