Job summary

Express Employment Professionals of Mount Vernon has partnered with a leading fish processing company to hire a Quality Control Specialist. You will monitor quality and compliance, inspecting and testing seafood products to ensure safety and standards are met.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, ability to perform calculations, and clear communication of non-conformances to supervisors. Day shift with overtime available; $22.00–$27.00 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for accurate quality checks.
• Basic calculations needed to verify measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to verify and monitor process controls throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of line
• Check for correct raw materials, cartons, cases, and correct labeling.
• Calibration of equipment
• Check cutting configurations and fryer/freezer speeds and temperatures.
• Communicate any non-compliance in processing or a product not meeting specifications to the Line Supervisor and the processing status of products to the QA Supervisor.
• Provide feedback on product quality, personal hygiene practices, and other essential information.
• Perform periodic processing audits and finish processing records and summaries.
• Assist in removing QA equipment from the processing line and the cleaning of that equipment.
