Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Anacortes, WA, is hiring a Seafood Processor 1 to handle processing tasks and maintain product quality and safety. You will operate equipment, inspect and pack seafood, and follow environmental and safety policies to ensure compliance.

The role is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, 401(k) with match, PTO and holidays. Entry-level with preferred 1 year in food manufacturing; HS diploma or equivalent welcomed.

• Operates machine(s) to move live or packed seafood from place to place.
• Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Seafood Processor 1 role processes seafood products by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

• Cleans, scraps, and trims product.
• Opens and removes raw materials and places on belts.
• Segregates product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color, and size, and places product in containers or on designated conveyors.
• Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign matter.
• Packs product in boxes, barrels, baskets, or crates for storage or shipment.
• Operates machine(s) to move live or packed seafood from place to place.
• Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
• Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
• Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
• Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
