Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet is seeking a Sanitation Associate to uphold the highest cleanliness standards across the facility and equipment. You will work with the operations team to implement sanitation solutions aligned with company goals and ensure product quality and process integrity through rigorous cleaning, safety, and documentation.

The role requires experience in food processing sanitation, ability to work in cold environments, and strong adherence to GMP and safety practices.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year of cleaning experience in a food processing environment.
Preference for exposure to proteins in meat, poultry, or seafood processing.
Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices and strong safety protocol adherence.
Ability to work in wet, cold environments with heavy protective gear.
English verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Dismantle, clean, and sanitize processing machinery using high-pressure hoses and specialized cleaners.
Clean drains, floors, walls, and shipping/receiving areas; remove seafood byproducts and waste properly.
Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards.
Safely handle, dilute, and store industrial cleaning chemicals.
Collaborate with operations to maintain a pristine environment and high product quality.
Maintain sanitation records in accordance with SOPs and keep the supply closet organized.
