Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Seafood Associate in Madison, WI. You will prepare and package seafood products, label and merchandise them according to plans, and stock the seafood backroom while ensuring safety and guest experience standards. Team collaboration and accurate math are essential for daily operations.

The role emphasizes completing duties with attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment, supporting store growth, and maintaining product quality and freshness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in retail or food handling is a plus.
• Ability to read, write and interpret simple documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce seafood products per production plan.
• Package and label seafood items according to program plan.
• Merchandise seafood per flight plan and merchandising guidelines.
• Stock backroom, rotate and date cases.
• Notify Seafood Manager when orders are needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive store growth.
• Apply basic math for weighing and measuring.
• Communicate tasks and cleaning steps to teammates.
• Follow PPE, safety and food-safety guidelines.
• Support guest experience standards and procedures.
