The role requires strong customer service, team leadership, and knowledge of food safety. You will manage inventory, temperature checks, and compliance while delivering consistent, high-quality seafood selection

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily seafood department operations focusing on customer service, freshness, and department readiness.
• Provide friendly, courteous service and respond to customer requests and special orders.
• Coordinate training, scheduling, and task assignment for seafood clerks to ensure coverage.
• Execute merchandising programs, displays, and pricing according to company guidelines.
• Prepare seafood items including cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking displays.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, cases, prep areas, and equipment.
• Monitor product freshness and remove unsellable or expired items.
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, and receiving shipments to maintain in-stock conditions.
• Track and log temperature checks for coolers and freezers.
• Maintain department signage and communication updates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and standards.
