Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Troy, MI is seeking a Seafood Associate to prepare and display seafood products, assist customers, and maintain department standards. You will weigh, wrap, and prep seafood items, following company recipes and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Customer service-oriented with ability to assist customers and answer questions.
• Requires physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Experience or ability to handle knives and slicers safely (18+ to use certain tools).

Responsabilités

• Prepare and place seafood cuts and products in display counter, per guidelines.
• Follow procedures for receiving and unloading shipments.
• Stock meat cases and ensure product rotation and quality.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment per safety guidelines and regulations.
• Assist customers with selections, including type, preparation, and recipes.
• Weigh, price, wrap, and prep seafood selections for customers.
• Prepare seafood according to company recipes.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Operate all necessary equipment according to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of product quality, prices, varieties, and preparation methods.
• Handle damaged or spoiled product per guidelines and assist in controlling damaged goods.
• Comply with all weights, measures, labeling, and local regulations.
• Notify management of safety or equipment issues or violations.
• Assist in training associates as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
