Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Receive, code-date, store, price-mark, and restock products.
• Differentiate seafood varieties; explain usage and prices.
• Maintain freshness and proper product quality.
• Handle damaged or spoiled items per policy.
• Check refrigeration equipment; report issues promptly.
• Record invoices and verify accuracy of receiving logs.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Sanitize surfaces and equipment; follow QA standards.
• Keep floors clean; manage spills promptly.
• Operate and maintain department equipment; report problems.
• Follow HAZCOM and label instructions for chemicals.
• Comply with Local, State, and Federal seafood regs.
• Lift 25 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Adhere to COO regulations for seafood products.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise to seafood area.
• Check item locations and prices; assist customers.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Stand at workstation for long shifts; may exceed 8 hours.
• Follow shrink guidelines for seafood operations.
• Dress and groom per store policy; observe safety rules.
• Follow QA hand washing standards; wear disposable gloves.
• Complete all department training programs.
• Support ShopRite priorities: Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, Efficiency.
• Maintain punctual attendance; work overtime as needed.
• Work cooperatively with others; 18+ to operate certain equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
