Job summary

ShopRite of Sussex/Wantage is seeking a Seafood Clerk to deliver excellent customer service in the Seafood Department. You will prepare and pack fresh and frozen seafood according to company standards and help maintain product freshness and proper rotation.

This role requires English proficiency, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work well in a team within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• (ShopRite) seafood knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, prepping, storing, pricing and stocking seafood.
• Maintain knowledge of different seafood types and usage; ensure freshness and quality.
• Keep workspace clean and organized; comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Unload and move seafood items as needed; assist with inventory and pricing.
