Job summary

ShopRite of Brodheadsville is seeking a Seafood Department Associate to deliver a great customer experience while maintaining and operating the Seafood Department. You will prepare and pack fresh and frozen seafood according to company standards, ensuring quality and proper handling.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and QA guidelines. This position supports overall department operations and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow procedures for receiving, code-dating, preparing, storing, price-marking, scaling, and restocking products.
• Differentiate between seafood varieties and related merchandise, noting taste, prep, and price differences.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
• Operate and report any equipment issues, follow QA standards and safety regulations.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal health codes in seafood operations.
