Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed seafood items including shellfish and spices.
• Ability to tolerate dust and chemical agents during housekeeping duties.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for entire shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow procedures for receiving, code-dating, storing, price-marking, scaling, and restocking.
• Know seafood types and related merchandise and price differences.
• Maintain freshness and quality of products.
• Check refrigeration equipment and report failures.
• Handle invoices and verify accuracy of logs.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Operate equipment and follow safety guidelines.
