Job summary

Fiesta Mart is seeking a Seafood Clerk for Store 024 Houston Fondren to join our fast-paced grocery team. You will set up, maintain and clean seafood displays, assist customers, and ensure product quality while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires bilingual reading/writing (Spanish/English), ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and reliable customer service. Prior PC/Outlook skills and a Retail Management Certificate are a plus; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service.
• Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases.
• Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.
