Astranis is seeking a Software Defined Radio Hardware Intern for Winter 2027 in Northern California. Interns work on challenging hardware/software projects that have flown on satellites and contribute to live systems.

Interns gain experience designing, bringing up, and testing SDR hardware, with opportunities to advance to full-time roles. Hourly pay, typical 12-week program, and a collaborative engineering culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test PCBA hardware from scratch.
• Solid EE foundation in analog design, digital design, mixed signal, RF.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test our internally developed SDR hardware.
• Bringup and debug hardware in the lab with top instruments.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Integrate these systems into the spacecraft with the team.
