Job summary

Astranis in San Francisco is seeking a Hardware Design Associate on the Software Defined Radio Team for Summer 2027. Associate Engineers work on challenging hardware/software projects that contribute to spaceflight hardware and testing, with opportunities to develop skills across the SDR stack.

You will design, simulate, implement, and test SDR hardware, bring up hardware in the lab, and collaborate with the spacecraft team to integrate systems for space missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing, building and testing PCBA hardware from scratch.
• Strong fundamentals in analog, digital or mixed-signal/RF design.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement and test SDR hardware.
• Bring up and debug hardware in lab with test equipment.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate tests.
• Integrate systems with spacecraft teams.
