Job summary

Veridos seeks a Software Engineer in San Diego to design, develop, and expand our SDK and Demo App ecosystem across multi-device and network environments. The role focuses on embedding image processing, calibration, and data capture libraries to maximize hardware performance for B2B demos and internal tools.

Responsibilities include delivering core APIs, supporting external client demos, and creating internal apps for device optimization, hardware testing, and factory calibration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Image Processing, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years of professional software development with C++ and C#/.NET.
• Experience with OpenCV and computer vision tasks is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the core SDK framework and apps for external demos and internal tools.
• Develop low-latency image pre-processing pipelines, including enhancement, auto-cropping, and ROI extraction.
• Integrate OCR and barcode decoders into the SDK framework.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to define device-level protocols and debug hardware interfaces (USB, Serial, PC/SC).
