Veridos is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and expand our SDK & Demo App ecosystem across multi-device environments in an onsite role in San Diego, CA. You will architect the core SDK, embed image processing and data capture libraries to maximize hardware performance for B2B client demos and internal engineering tools.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years in software development with C++, C#/ .NET, hands-on OpenCV experience, and a proactive, autonomous mindset to work with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Image Processing, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on C++, C#/ .NET.
• A proven self-starter who demonstrates high autonomy and takes clear ownership of assigned tasks.
• Solid hands-on experience utilizing computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV) for raw sensor data, camera calibration, or frame-level manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the core SDK framework and associated apps, supporting both external B2B client demo applications and internal engineering tools for hardware verification, calibration, and factory production.
• Develop and optimize low-latency image pre-processing pipelines (including image enhancement, auto-cropping, and ROI extraction).
• Integrate and optimize third-party libraries (e.g., OCR, barcode decoders) into the core SDK framework.
• Work closely with firmware engineers to define device-level communication protocols and debug hardware interface issues (USB, Serial, PC/SC).
