Job summary

Stafford County Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Director of Specially Designed Instruction to partner with the Director of Special Education in shaping SDI, inclusive practices, and related services for students with disabilities. This 12-month exempt administrative role emphasizes strategic thinking and collaboration.

You will lead professional learning, analyze outcomes, supervise staff, and work with school and division leaders to strengthen instructional systems and advance equitable

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Preferred: Master's in Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a special education teacher.
• Experience as a school-based administrator or division-level instructional leader preferred.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional learning for educators.
• Experience analyzing instructional and student outcome data to guide improvement.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen SDI implementation, HLPs, co-teaching, inclusive practices and related services.
• Analyze student achievement and instructional data to guide supports and PD.
• Design, coordinate and evaluate professional learning aligned with priorities.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate assigned staff and foster collaboration.
• Guide schools in developing and evaluating instructional improvement plans.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve instructional programming and equitable access.
• Provide consultation on SDI, programming, and evidence-based practices division-wide.
