Job summary

UNDP is seeking a Communications and Research Analyst to design and deliver communications materials on SDG implementation by local and regional governments. The role supports exchange of experiences, gathers project data, and develops narratives for diverse audiences, including central governments and international partners.

The analyst will contribute to baseline and perception surveys, support Mayors Challenge communications, and work with global project personnel from UNDP country offices.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in Communications, Literature, History, Journalism, Social and Political Sciences, International Development or Urban studies.
• Bachelor’s degree with an additional 2 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of contents and communications tools to highlight the role of local and regional governments in Agenda 2030.
• Liaise with UNDP project personnel globally to collect information, monitor progress and compile lessons learned for the Mayors Challenge project.
• Communicate participant local and regional government stories, analyze project data and develop narratives for diverse audiences.
• Contribute to knowledge generation, policy briefs and learning exercises for SDG implementation at local level.
