Job summary

Dexian seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) within IT FinSight Delivery to design, develop, and execute scalable testing solutions ensuring quality, reliability, and performance of mission-critical platforms across Financial Risk Management, Treasury, and Fixed Income Clearing.

This role blends strong software engineering with testing expertise to drive an automation-first quality engineering strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented language.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium or equivalent).
• Proficiency in SQL and data validation techniques.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Micro Focus ALM, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned to requirements and user stories.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts (UI, API, backend).
• Develop and execute end-to-end, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure test coverage across code.
• Manage test data and environments for diverse scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket).
• Analyze test results and report quality metrics clearly.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote quality engineering culture.
