This role blends strong software engineering with deep testing expertise to drive automation-first quality engineering, collaborating with developers, product owners, and DevOps to embed testing early and enable continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software testing, automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented language.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium or equivalent).
• Proficiency in SQL and data validation techniques.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Micro Focus ALM, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned to business requirements and user stories.
• Build and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts (UI, API, and backend) using Selenium and Java.
• Develop and execute end-to-end, integration, regression, and performance test scenarios.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and backend processes.
• Work with developers to understand code logic and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Test data management and creating test data for various scenarios including corner cases.
• Ensure traceability from requirements through test cases to automation coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, resolve defects, and improve quality outcomes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket) to enable continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, track defects, and provide clear reporting on quality metrics.
