Job summary

Stradit is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, develop, and execute scalable testing solutions that ensure quality across the Financial Risk Management, Treasury, and Fixed Income Clearing platforms.

You will blend software engineering with testing expertise, partner with developers, product owners, and DevOps to embed testing early in the lifecycle and enable continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented language.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium or equivalent).
• Proficiency in SQL and data validation techniques.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Micro Focus ALM, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned to requirements.
• Build and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium and Java.
• Develop and execute end-to-end, integration, regression, and performance test scenarios.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate data integrity.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Manage test data and environments for varied test scenarios.
• Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and automation coverage.
• Participate in cross-functional agile teams and drive process improvements.
• Identify risks, resolve defects, and improve quality outcomes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket).
• Analyze test results and provide clear quality metrics reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a strong quality engineering culture.
• Ensure adherence to risk, control, and regulatory requirements.
