VIMO INC is seeking a QA Lead (SDET) to oversee testing for a complex web-based health insurance marketplace in Mountain View, California. This role combines hands-on testing (70%) with leadership responsibilities (30%), focusing on building automation and improving quality assurance processes.

The ideal candidate will lead a distributed team in the US and India, ensuring successful deployments while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance QA practices using modern tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manual testing of web applications.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and test design techniques.
• Experience testing APIs and data-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end QA delivery for a client deployment.
• Define and drive automation-first test strategy.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience as SDET or automation-focused QA engineer

Proficiency in one programming language

Strong experience with SQL and data validation

Experience leading or mentoring engineers

Tools

CI/CD pipelines

Automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
