Qualifications

• You have strong software engineering skills with a focus on test engineering.
• You have experience interviewing candidates and a track record of raising the bar on hiring.
• You communicate clearly, succinctly, and effectively.

• You have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a diverse group of engineers to improve testability and test coverage across Apple platforms (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS).
• Own the design, build‑out, and ongoing optimization of automated testing frameworks that power Mail and Messages quality.
• Drive testability upstream by partnering with product engineering to build test affordances and APIs.
• Shepherd the full test lifecycle: authoring automated tests, running at scale, triaging results to identify regressions.
• Defend pass rates and reliability across a distributed, multi-device system.
• Partner with Ops on test infrastructure and CI, and with quality teams for Mail and Messages.
• Invent strategies for testing complex real-time communication apps and expand coverage.
• Cultivate a quality culture with open feedback and engineers supported in reaching goals.
