Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test for Platform System Validation in San Diego, CA. You will focus on low-level firmware and silicon domains, driving quality across all phases of software delivery from design to product launch.

You will design and implement test strategies, automate system-level tests, and influence testability in software design while collaborating with cross-functional teams to unblock validation and keep programs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field.
• 5+ years in software test automation or SDET.
• Experience building test frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with hardware bring-up on silicon platforms.
• Python proficiency and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Scale test automation infrastructure across hardware validation.
• Develop system validation workloads for multiple chip platforms.
• Lead core test infrastructure architecture and tooling.
• Build tooling that integrates with CI/test frameworks.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and program teams.
