Job summary

Apple Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to build and maintain automated tests for Mail, Messages, FaceTime, and more across iOS, macOS, visionOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

You will shape test strategies, review designs, and advocate testable development practices. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive quality, maintain test infrastructure, and communicate results effectively.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• Experience programming in Python, Java, Swift, C/C++ or Objective-C.
• Familiar with software dev lifecycle and Git.
• Experience testing and automating APIs, UIs, and native apps on mobile/desktop.
• Experience with Continuous Integration systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation test framework and tests for features across platforms.
• Streamline automated test reporting across communication channels.
• Root cause analysis on bugs found via automation.
• Investigate issues blocking automated runs and resolve promptly.
• Ensure scalability and efficiency of test infrastructure.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to meet quality goals.
