Job summary

Stord is a cloud‑based supply chain platform seeking its first SDET leadership hire. You will set testing architecture, establish AI‑assisted test generation, and build a high‑caliber automation team across UI, API, and event‑driven tests.

You will own framework standards, CI/CD integration, and governance for reliable, scalable testing as Stord scales its engineering organization globally.

Qualifications

• Must have built and owned a Playwright or equivalent framework from scratch.
• Experience wiring automated tests into CI/CD to block bad releases.
• Led adoption of AI-assisted test generation with appropriate human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design and own a cross‑product E2E test strategy (UI, API, async) across surfaces.
• Define and enforce testing standards, tooling, and framework choices.
• Hire, mentor, and scale SDET engineers, building a high‑bar automation team.
• Partner with SRE to align environments and parity for testing.
• Develop coverage dashboards and reliable contract/API tests.
