Job summary

Stuut is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in Test to drive automated testing strategy, architecture, and execution across the platform, ensuring releases are reliable and high-quality. You will own tooling, framew orks, and quality practices to empower rapid, confident shipping.

This hands-on leadership role requires building scalable test automation, guiding teams toward high-impact, high-reliability outcomes, and mentoring engineers in best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in test automation or software engineering, with senior/lead exposure.
• Architected or maintained large-scale automation frameworks supporting rapid iteration across backend, frontend, and async systems.
• Fluent in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, and experienced with Playwright, Cypress, pytest, or REST API testing frameworks.
• Designs high-signal, low-maintenance test strategies and CI/CD improvements.
• Experience with cloud-native infra (AWS, Kubernetes, RDS PostgreSQL) and distributed systems testing.

Responsibilities

• Set the Quality & Automation Strategy: define long-term vision for automated testing, frameworks, tooling, and gates.
• Build & Scale Automation Frameworks: implement robust automation across integration, UI, and end-to-end layers.
• Drive Test Coverage Planning: lead test planning with product squads and automate identified functionality.
• Stabilize Pipelines & Reduce Flakiness: own test pipelines’ health, speed, and reliability; reduce flaky tests.
• Architect & Maintain Test Environments: collaborate with Infrastructure to build scalable, realistic test environments.
• Improve Developer Velocity: optimize CI/CD test stages, reduce cycle times, accelerate safe deployments.
